Usage
briskmail open <message-id>
briskmail open --search <query>
briskmail open --folder <name>Give exactly one of a message id, --search or --folder.
Needs macOS Automation consent and no switch.
Arguments and flags
<message-id>- Gmail's id for a message. Opens its conversation. Not with --search or --folder.
--search QUERY- Run a search, in Gmail's search syntax, as if you typed it into the search field. Not with <message-id> or --folder.
--folder NAME- Open a folder (Inbox, Starred, Sent, Drafts, All Mail) or one of your labels, by the name the sidebar shows. Not with <message-id> or --search.
Global flags
--account ID- An account id from accounts.json. Leave it out to use the first account. Accepted before or after the command.
--dev- Send the command to the dev build (com.valleyedgeconsulting.edgemail.dev) instead of Briskmail. Only useful when working on Briskmail itself.
Exit codes
| Code | Meaning |

| 0 | Done. Prints ok. |
| 2 | Not allowed. macOS refused Automation for the app you ran it from (-1743). |
| 3 | Briskmail reported an error, printed on stderr. |
| 64 | Bad usage: none of the three, more than one, or an unknown flag. |
