Briskmail Terms of Service

Last updated: September 30, 2026

What Briskmail is

Briskmail is a native macOS application that lets you read, compose, send and organize email in your own Gmail account through Google's Gmail API.

Your account

You sign in with your own Google account, through Google's own sign-in page. Briskmail never sees or stores your Google password. You can revoke Briskmail's access at any time, either from within the app (Sign Out) or from your Google Account's connected-apps settings (myaccount.google.com/permissions).

Acceptable use

Don't use Briskmail to send unsolicited bulk email, to violate Google's own Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, or for any unlawful purpose.

Our commitment

Briskmail is built and supported by the person who wrote it. I read every bug report myself, fix problems fast, and ship updates often — usually within days of a report. If something breaks, email ivan@valleyedgeconsulting.io and you'll hear back from me, not a ticket bot.

The legal part

Briskmail is provided "as is." That's the standard legal wording, and it doesn't change the commitment above: it means we can't legally guarantee the app will never have a bug or an outage. We also don't control Gmail's own servers, so we can't be responsible when Google's service is down.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
